Police: $5,000 Reward For Info On Missing Student; Suspect Car Found
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Burnsville Police say a $5,000 reward is being offered for information on the whereabouts of Anarae Schunk, the 20-year-old college student who was last seen with a man suspected of homicide.
The University of Minnesota sophomore was last seen early Sunday morning at a Burnsville bar with an ex-boyfriend, Shavelle Chavez-Nelson. The 31-year-old Eagan man is currently in jail on suspicion of shooting and killing 23-year-old Palagor Jobi in the parking lot of Nina's Grill.
On Wednesday, authorities had a helicopter in the air and many officers on the ground searching for Schunk. They were trying to find her, and the car her and Chavez-Nelson were last believed to be in: a 1983 Buick LeSabre Limited.
That car has since been found, authorities said Wednesday night.
The $5,000 reward is being offered by a private citizen, police say.
If you have any information on Schunk's whereabouts, call 952-895-4636. She is described as 5-feet, 9-inches tall, 165 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes. She was last seen wearing a white zip-up jacket with a University of Minnesota logo on the front.
