Police: 3-Hour New Brighton Standoff Ends Peacefully
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A standoff in New Brighton Friday night had a peaceful resolution.
Police say they were called to the 600 block of Continental Drive at about 7:15 p.m. after neighbors reported a man shooting at an SUV. The man then ran into his girlfriend's house.
A standoff with the man lasted about three hours, until he surrendered to Ramsey County Sheriff's deputies at about 10:30 p.m.
Police say he later admitted to shooting the SUV three times.
