Man Suffers 'Medical Emergency' In Jail, Dies
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 22-year-old man died Friday morning after suffering a medical emergency inside the Stearns County Jail, police said.
Authorities have not said whether or not the man, Jerome Herrell, of St. Cloud, was an inmate.
The Stearns County Sheriff's Office said it respond to the jail shortly after 8:30 a.m. The St. Cloud Fire Department and an ambulance service also responded.
Crews treated the man at the jail and then brought him to the St. Cloud Hospital, where he later died.
The incident is under investigation.
