Police: 2 Teens Arrested For Robbery, Beating Man
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Minneapolis Police are investigating a string of violent incidents on the city's south side.
The first involved the beating of an elderly man near Blaisdell Avenue South and West Lake Street on Sunday night. Fifteen minutes later police went to 38th Street and Nicollet Avenue and found a visually-impaired man who had been robbed.
Minutes later, reports of people being robbed at knife-point by juveniles on bicycles sent officers to 32nd Street and Lyndale Avenue.
Police took two 17-year-olds in custody for the first two incidents. No word on the condition of the man who was beaten but police said he did suffer broken nose.
Police don't believe the third crime is connected to the first two.
