Police: 2 Arrested After South St. Paul Teen Badly Beaten, Shot At
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- South St. Paul Police are asking for the public's help after they say a 17 year old boy was severely beaten and shot at Sunday night.
Police Chief Bill Messerich said the boy was walking through a parking lot with a friend when they were jumped by 15 to 20 people. The boy said the group came out of nowhere and began hitting and kicking him. When he tried to run away, he said they began shooting at him.
They missed, but police said stray bullets hit a car and a nearby apartment. Two juveniles have already been arrested in the incident. Investigators are trying to figure out who else was involved. Messerich said South St. Paul is a very safe community and this is an isolated incident.
The incident is under investigation, and anyone with information should call South St. Paul Police.
