MPD: 6 Arrested In Double Stabbing Near Downtown Strip Club
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Minneapolis police are investigating a double stabbing that happened early Saturday morning in the Warehouse District.
Officers were called to Choice Gentlemen's Club on 2nd Avenue North near Washington Avenue at about 2:30 a.m. on a report of an assault.
Police were flagged down by one of the victims, who had been stabbed three times in the head, once in the face, once in the upper arm and once in the lower left side. Their injuries were non-life threatening, and they were transported to Hennepin County Medical Center.
The second victim was found unresponsive on the sidewalk across from the strip club with a stab wound to the neck. They were taken to HCMC for emergency surgery, and their condition has not been released.
A black SUV was spotted by police dropping off two people at HCMC soon after -- one of whom had a stab wound to the hand.
Police and Hennepin County deputies stopped the vehicle and detained four passengers, as well as the non-injured person who went into the hospital. The injured party was arrested after being treated and released.
Witnesses told police a bloody switchblade was tossed from one of the windows of the SUV when they fled the crime scene. The knife was recovered, and the SUV was impounded.
