Police: 1 Dead, 2 Wounded In Rochester Shooting
ROCHESTER, Minn. (WCCO/AP) — Police in Rochester are searching Monday for a gunman who shot three men, killing one of them.
It happened around 2 p.m. this afternoon near a mobile home park. Trumane Gillmore, 22, was killed.
A 20-year-old man from Rochester had a gunshot wound to his leg that was not life-threatening and a graze wound on his chest.
Rochester police Capt. John Sherwin says police later learned that an 18-year-old Chicago man also suffered a graze wound to his chest in the shooting.
Police say there were several witnesses, including small children. A nearby elementary school went into lockdown for about an hour while police seached for the gunman.
Police are searching for a man who they say fled the scene on foot and was wearing a red bandanna over his face, a white T-shirt and blue jeans.
They're still investigating what led up to the shooting.
