Plymouth Woman Killed In Motorcycle Accident
CROWN POINT, Ind. (WCCO) - A Plymouth woman is dead after her husband lost control of his motorcycle while driving in Indiana Thursday morning, according to authorities.
Lori K. Rutten, 55, and her husband Roger Rutten, 59, where driving northbound on I-65 in Lake County on a 2012 Harley Davidson motorcycle when Roger switched lanes and struck an uneven portion of the road.
The motorcycle flipped, and both passengers were ejected over barrier cables, eventually landing on a grassy portion of the median.
Lori was pronounced dead at the scene from blunt force trauma, and Roger was eventually airlifted to an Illinois hospital with critical injuries.
Both were not wearing helmets.
Authorities say construction and uneven pavement signs were visible near the crash site.
