Plymouth Home Destroyed In Fire, No Injuries Reported

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A Plymouth home is a total loss after a fire Thursday morning, but no injuries were reported at the scene.

The Plymouth Fire Department was called to the scene at about 9:27 a.m. at a single family home in a residential neighborhood near Ridgemount Ave. W. and Forestview Ln. N. When firefighters arrived, flames were seen in the garage and the home quickly became fully engulfed.

A resident had tried to put out the fire, but the efforts were unsuccessful so the resident abandoned the efforts and escaped the home. There were no injuries reported, but the home suffered significant damage.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
