Phanthavong Family Speaks Out After Senser Verdict
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- After learning Amy Senser was found guilty of two felony counts on Thursday in the hit-and-run case that resulted in the death of Anousone Phanthavong, the Phanthavong family spoke out.
"It's been a long journey and we're glad it's over," said one family member.
Jim Ballentine, an attorney representing the Phanthavong family, said the jury worked extremely hard.
"All that (the Phanthavong family) wanted in this criminal proceeding was for justice to be served," he said. "And they're thankful that it was accomplished in the jury's verdict."
