Pet Food Company Recalls Several Potentially Contaminated Products
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The pet food company J.J. Fuds of Valparaiso, Ind. is recalling several of their products over fears of a potential listeria and/or salmonella outbreak.
The recall includes all lots and products of J.J. Fuds Chicken Tender Chunks, Beef Tender Chunks and Duckling Tender Chunks Pet Food.
According to inspectors at the Minnesota Department of Agriculture, the potentially contaminated products have been distributed in Minnesota both through retailers and wholesale distributors. Officials are visiting the affected locations to take those products off the shelves.
So far, the company hasn't received any reports of human or animal illnesses associated with the products.
Consumers who have the affected product at home are advised to return it to their retailer for proper disposal.
