'Person Of Interest' Now Suspect In St. Paul Homicide
ST. PAUL (WCCO/AP) -- A person of interest located in Florida in connection to a St. Paul woman's homicide is now a suspect in her death, according to police.
Last Wednesday, authorities arrested 31-year-old Corey Dean Thomas in Miami and he is now being held in Miami on a Minnesota Department of Corrections arrest warrant. Police are not seeking other suspects.
Thomas was sought as a person of interest in the death of 27-year-old Megan Neely. A friend says she was the mother of two daughters, ages 1 and 10.
Neely was reported missing Oct. 16, but a search of her home found no sign of her. Investigators returned to her home Oct. 17 and found her body.
Investigators traveled to Florida to speak with Thomas and are currently building their case against him.
