Pedestrian Struck By LRT Train In St. Paul
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Service along Metro Transit's light-rail transit Green Line was suspended Friday after a train and pedestrian were involved in a crash.
Metro Transit officials said a man was struck near Lexington Parkway on the line, which runs along University Avenue, just after 3 p.m.
The man was taken to Regions Hospital by St. Paul Fire Medics. His condition has not been released.
Service was suspended between the Snelling and Western avenue stops for about 90 minutes. Officials say Green Line riders should still expect "significant delays."
