Authorities: Pedestrian Struck & Killed In Fridley
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A pedestrian was struck and killed by a delivery truck in Fridley Thursday afternoon.
Police say the incident happened at about 1:30 p.m. at University Avenue and Osborne Road.
Investigators say a 78-year-old woman, from Spring Lake Park, was struck and killed by a UPS truck while in the crosswalk on University Avenue.
Police say the driver stayed at the scene and has been cooperating with authorities.
The Minnesota State Patrol and the Anoka County Sheriff's office are assisting in the investigation.
