Paul Adelman Golf Classic Celebrates 20 Years

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – For the past 20 years, a Twin Cities charity golf tournament has been supporting children with disabilities.

The Paul Adelman Golf Classic was inspired by Paul Adelman. He went through three brain surgeries over seven years, always with a smile on his face.

When he died from brain cancer shortly after his 12th birthday his friends and family decided to organize the tournament.

Over the last two decades, it's raised more than a million dollars.

The classic kicks off Monday, July 25 at 12:30 p.m. at Oak Ridge Country Club in Hopkins.

You can sign up alone or as a foursome.

For more information on the tournament, or to sign up, visit the Paul Adelman Golf Classic online.
