Patrol: Authorities Revive Canadian On I-94 In Wis.
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – After pulling over to help a fellow traveler change a tire in Wisconsin Saturday evening, a Canadian man needed that same traveler's help when he suffered a heart attack moments later.
The Wisconsin State Patrol said a 61-year-old man from Winnipeg, Canada suffered a heart attack on Interstate 94 in Dunn County at around 6 p.m. When a trooper arrived at the scene, he found the Canadian with no pulse and a man, whom the Canadian had just helped, performing CPR on him.
It was only when a Dunn County deputy arrived with an Automated External Defibulator (AED) that authorities were able to revive the Canadian. It took three shocks, but the Canadian regained both his pulse and breathing, Wisconsin patrol said.
A helicopter airlifted the Canadian to Mayo Luther. His condition is not known.
Authorities have not given out the names of those involved.
