Part Of I-694 In Brooklyn Center To Close
BROOKLYN CENTER (WCCO) -- Motorists will face delays and detours when a part of eastbound Interstate 694 in Brooklyn Center closes down.
According to the Minnesota Department of Transportation, the closure will begin at 9 p.m. on Friday, June 17 at the I-94 split. All ramps and roadways will reopen by 5 a.m. on Monday, June 20.
During the closure, motorists will be detoured to eastbound I-94 and will then follow the Highway 252 exit lane back to eastbound I-694.
The ramp from northbound Highway 100 to eastbound I-694 also will be closed. Motorists will be directed to use eastbound I-394 and westbound I-94 to access eastbound I-694.
In addition, the ramp from 57th Avenue to northbound Highway 100 will close. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes to access northbound Highway 100.
Access from Shingle Creek Parkway to eastbound I-694 will also be unavailable, but the ramp from Shingle Creek Parkway to eastbound I-94 will reopen during the weekend closures.
