Parise Misses Game Against Coyotes
ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Minnesota Wild forward Zach Parise missed Wednesday night's game against the Phoenix Coyotes due to an injured left foot.
Parise suffered the injury on Monday night in St. Louis when he blocked a slap shot by Alexander Steen of the Blues.
The team announced Tuesday that Parise is expected to miss 2 to 3 weeks, but he surprised teammates by joining them for the Wild's morning skate on Wednesday.
Parise is Minnesota's leading scorer with 22 points in 25 games. He hadn't missed a game since the 2010-11 season when he played for the New Jersey Devils.
