Outdoor Dining, Frogtown Farm In St. Paul Mayor's Proposals
ST. PAUL (WCCO) -- Outdoor dining in St. Paul could be expanding and buying a home there may become more affordable, if Mayor Chris Coleman's proposals get the green light.
Coleman revealed his 2013 budget Monday afternoon. His office says despite a less than 2 percent increase in the levy, a reduction in spending will keep the budget virtually the same as last year.
Some of the proposals include hiring more police officers and putting more sidewalk cafes and patios along 6th Street in Lowertown, where Barrio and The Bulldog are.

Coleman is also announcing a plan to work with Wells Fargo to help homeowners qualify for down payment loans in buying a new home.
Also, Coleman talked about his commitment to completing the Frogtown Farm project, which will add more green space in that neighborhood.
