Oldest Tiger At Minnesota Zoo Dies At 16
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The oldest tiger at the Minnesota Zoo has died.
Molniy was 16. That's about 80 in human years.
Zoo officials said the Amur tiger surpassed the expected lifetime of a wild tiger. His death on Sunday, officials said, was related to complications of aging.
Molniy came to the Minnesota Zoo in 2002 from the Detroit Zoo.
The zoo in Apple Valley is still home to three other tigers.
