Officials Talk About Preventing Online Bullying
STILLWATER, Minn. (AP) — Prosecutors and sheriffs in Dakota, Ramsey and Washington counties are holding a forum about ways to prevent online bullying.
About 200 people are expected to attend Wednesday's session, in which authorities and experts will talk about keeping children safe online. Specifically, they'll talk about ways to prevent bullying, cyberbullying and sexting.
They'll also talk about warning signs that a child might be a victim of online bullying behavior.
The forum is directed toward youth services workers, community and faith-based workers, and others who interact with young people.
It's sponsored by the East Metro Crime Prevention Coalition, an initiative in which authorities in Dakota, Ramsey and Washington counties share crime prevention strategies and work to focus resources on emerging regional trends.
