Police: Elderly Man Found Dead After Going Missing From Senior Center
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Oak Park Heights police are investigating the death of a 76-year-old man, who they say was found dead after going missing from his senior housing facility Sunday evening.
According to police, staff at Boutwells Landing Senior Housing Facility in Oak Park Heights noticed the man was not in his room when they went to check on him at 11 p.m. Sunday. After searching for the man, staff called police at 1:10 a.m.
Police, along with other law enforcement agencies, then searched for the man. His body was discovered at 3 a.m. on a walking path near a local retailer to the north of the facility, about a half-mile away. He was declared deceased at the scene.
The facility identified the man as Thomas LeCloux.
Police say no signs of foul play were found during the investigation.
Boutwells Landing Senior Housing Facility is located on 5610 Norwich Parkway.
