Nurse Pleads Guilty In Drug Fraud Case
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 38-year-old nurse from Madelia pleaded guilty in Minneapolis Federal Court Thursday to fraudulently getting the controlled substance oxycodone while working at an inpatient health care facility.
Tess Marie Johnson pleaded guilty to one count of obtaining a controlled substance by fraud in connection with the case. She was charged on May 21.
In the plea agreement, she admitted to obtaining Percocet intended for patients and replacing it with Tylenol tablets in October of 2012. Johnson faces up to four years in prison.
