Notre Dame Gets By Minnesota Duluth 5-3
DULUTH, Minn. (AP) -- Notre Dame scored five straight goals after falling behind early to beat Minnesota Duluth 5-3 Saturday for a split of the men's college hockey series.
The Bulldogs (1-1-0) took a 2-0 lead on a goal by Travis Oleksuk and the first of two goals by Mike Seidel. Both also scored in Friday's 4-3 Minnesota Duluth win.
The Fighting Irish (1-1-0) went ahead 3-2 by the end of the second period on goals by Nick Larson, T.J. Tynan and Anders Lee. They extended it to 5-2 on goals by Kevin Lind and Sean Lorenz, the latter at 9:58 of the third period.
Steven Summerhays had 21 saves for Notre Dame and Aaron Crandall had 18 saves for the Bulldogs.
