Northbound Stretch Of I-35W Closed This Weekend
BURNSVILLE, Minn. (WCCO) -- Motorists in the south metro will need to prepare for closures this weekend on Interstate 35W.
Northbound Interstate 35W between Highway 13 and the I-35W/I-35E split will close at 10 p.m. on Friday. The Minnesota Department of Transportation said motorists may experience delays and congestion.
Crews will be working on constructing the new MnPASS Express Lane.
The posted detour will take motorists northbound on I-35E to northbound Highway 77 to westbound Highway 13 to northbound I-35W.
Depending on the weather, the lanes will reopen by 5 a.m. Monday.
