Mpls Businesses In Recovery Mode Following Tornado
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Some north Minneapolis businesses were destroyed by the recent tornado and will never reopen. However, others are slowly making a comeback.
"We seem to be OK," said Mark Sellus of Gear 4 Less, a clothing and variety store.
Sellus is cautious, however.
"Little too soon for us to tell because our business is affected by the weather," he said, referring to recent rainy days.

It also depends on which nearby businesses are able to reopen.
"The Broadway Liquor Store over there is shut down and then the other building over here, and we feed off them and they feed off of us. And so we kind of afraid to see how it's actually gonna pan out," said Sellus.
A near-by barber shop and beauty store had customers Wednesday afternoon.
"We're back in business making money. You know, that's really much all that matters now," said Harry Hopkins, owner of Mississippi Hospitality Barber and Beauty Shop.
Streets have been cleared and that's making it easier for businesses to draw customers, but the recovery is far from over.
