North Dakota Beats Bemidji St. 5-2
BEMIDJI, Minn. (AP) — Mario Lamoureux's first goal of the season broke a tie late in the third period, leading North Dakota to a 5-2 win over Bemidji State on Saturday in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association.
With the game tied 2-2, Lamoureux skated in and beat Dan Bakala with a wrister at 15:22. North Dakota (4-6-1, 2-5-0) added two more goals to give the Fighting Sioux their 22nd win in 24 games all-time against the Beavers (4-8-1, 2-6-1).
Brock Nelson had two goals, including a power play and an empty-netter for North Dakota's last two scores. Corban Knight also added a goal.
Aaron Dell made 23 saves, giving up goals to Brance Orban in the first period and Shea Walters in the third.
