Nick Leddy Bringing Stanley Cup To Eden Prairie
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The Stanley Cup is one of the most iconic trophies in professional sports, and it will be in Eden Prairie for at least one day this weekend.
Nick Leddy, an Eden Prairie native who plays for Chicago Blackhawks, which recently won the Stanley Cup, is returning to his hometown to show off the trophy on Friday. He'll be at the Eden Prairie Community Center from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. to sign autographs with the Stanley Cup.
Leddy helped the Eagles win a state championship in his senior year before he went onto be a defenseman for the Gophers.
It's tradition in the NHL for the team that wins the Stanley Cup to let its players have the trophy for one day.
