NFL's Goodell To Make Stadium Pitch For Vikings
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell will be in town a couple of weeks for the Vikings-Bears game where he is expected to make a stadium pitch.
Goodell will make the pitch to the Minnesota Business Partnership, which is made up of the CEOs of Minnesota's largest companies.
The Partnership's director, Charlie Weaver, told WCCO-TV's Pat Kessler Tuesday that Minnesota cannot afford to lose the Vikings. Weaver also said it has been in constant contact with the NFL on a way to build a new stadium that does not include any state taxes.
The new legislature will meet a couple weeks later on Jan. 3.
