Police: New Hope Shooting That Left 1 Injured Involved Drugs
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Police in New Hope believe a Thursday afternoon shooting that left one person injured involved illegal narcotics.
Officers say they responded to a call of a shooting at Begin Park on the 5400 block of Xylon Avenue North at around 1:26 p.m. They found one man suffering from several gunshot wounds. He was transported to North Memorial Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
After the call, police stopped a car at County Road 81 and Highway 100 and arrested a man and a woman. Officers found a firearm and drugs in the car.
Investigators say they don't think the shooting was random, and all participants are identified.
