New Critical Habitat License Plate Focuses On Moose
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- You'll be able to pay more for a new critical habitat license plate in Minnesota.
The money raised will go to help pay for research into why the moose population is declining.
It's a partnership between the DNR and a conservation group focused on keeping moose in Minnesota's landscape.
Sales of the new moose plate started Aug. 1, and they feature the artwork of wildlife artist Les Kouba.
Car owners pay a minimum of $30 extra for the special plates.
It's the eighth critical habitat license plate available in Minnesota.
