Neighbors Recall Car Crash That Pinned 1 Woman
COTTAGE GROVE, Minn. (WCCO) -- An out of control car came to a stop in a Cottage Grove front yard, but not after first hitting mailboxes, landscaping and a tree.
"I looked out the bedroom window and the lights were shining in our living room," said neighbor Greg Staves.
The car flipped, three people inside the car were able to escape, but a fourth wasn't so lucky -- her arm went through the car's sunroof and became pinned underneath.
"Everyone just ran over here and did everything they could to help out," says neighbor Jay Hoge.
Neighbors, who were hanging out in a garage across the street, were able to lift the car up and get the woman out.
Minnesota State Patrol preformed reconstruction of the accident on Sunday.
The preliminary police report, from Sunday at 2:10 am, shows the driver may have been drinking.
The woman, whose arm was pinned, is still recovering at Regions Hospital and her condition is unknown.
