NATO Summit Protest Turns Violent In Chicago
CHICAGO (WCCO) - An anti-war riot turned violent tonight as thousands protested in the streets of Chicago.
It happened outside the NATO Summit which is focusing on the war in Afghanistan and other international security matters.
Earlier, the rally and march were peaceful.
Then police said a small group began to riot and throw sticks and punches at police.
45 were arrested and four officers were hurt.
This is the first time the summit has been held outside Washington D.C.
