Musicians Of Minn. Orchestra Announce Lake Harriet Show
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The locked-out Musicians of the Minnesota Orchestra have announced another free community concert at the Lake Harriet Bandshell.
The Musicians say they will perform the show on Sunday, Sept. 15 at 5 p.m. as a "thank you" to the community for their support of world-class music and musicians.
Last year's Lake Harriet show attracted nearly 4,000 fans and patrons, according to the Musicians.
This year, Manny Laureano, orchestra member and principal trumpet player, will be conducting Weber's Overture to Der Freischutz and Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 5.
The Musicians have been locked-out since Oct. 1, 2012.
The bandshell is located on the north side of the Lake Harriet on 4135 West Lake Harriet Parkway.
