Murder Victim Kept For Days In Forest Lake Apartment ID'd
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Officials have identified the woman whom they say was killed by her boyfriend in Forest Lake and kept in his apartment for days.
The Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office says the victim was 36-year-old Grace Ann Vannorman of Forest Lake.
Her boyfriend, 27-year-old Lauren Mason Grove Lynch, is accused of suffocating her with a pillow last Tuesday. Officials say the crime happened in his apartment and that he stayed with Vannorman's body for three days.
Police were called to the building to investigate the foul smell on Friday. When Lynch opened the door, he put his hands out to be handcuffed and said, "she's inside."
Investigators found Vannorman on a couch with a pillow over her head and stab wounds in her neck.
Lynch is in jail on $2 million bail. He's charged with second-degree murder and faces up to 40 years in prison if convicted.
