Murder Suspect Still At Large After Anoka Co. Airport Search

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Multiple police agencies surrounded a pair of hangers at a metro airport Tuesday afternoon after receiving information about a suspect in the murder of a Minneapolis executive.

Blaine Police say they received a tip at about 12:37 p.m. that 44-year-old Ty Hoffman may be at the Anoka County Airport.

Hoffman is a suspect in the murder of Boston Scientific executive Kelly Phillips, who was shot to death Monday outside of an Arden Hills gas station.

The Anoka County Sheriff's Office SWAT team, the Minnesota State Patrol, the Anoka-Hennepin Drug and Violent Crime Task Force, the Ramsey County Sheriff's Office and Blaine Police all responded to the scene. They identified two hangers where Hoffman may have been hiding.

Several hours later, authorities determined that Hoffman was not at the scene.

The investigation into Phillips' murder and the whereabouts of Hoffman are on-going.
