I-35W In Burnsville Reopens After Multi-Vehicle Crash
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A multi-car accident involving several commercial vehicles closed Interstate 35W in Burnsville for several hours, while officials worked to clear the scene.
The crash occurred around 11:15 a.m. Wednesday near 35W northbound at Cliff Road. The Minnesota State Patrol said they were rerouting traffic to Highway 13. The interstate reopened to traffic around 4 p.m.
According to the State Patrol, traffic had slowed way down and a vehicle couldn't stop in time. That vehicle rear-ended another vehicle, which crashed into another. Four vehicles were involved in the accident. The vehicle at the front of the crash was pushed into a guardrail.
A 62-year-old man, Steven Platt, of Cheshire, MA, suffered minor injuries.
The crash is still being investigated.
