Mpls. Police: 'Substantial Amount' Of Heroin Recovered After Police Pursuit
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Minneapolis police say they recovered a substantial amount of heroin after a police pursuit of a suspect that ended in a crash Friday afternoon.
Shortly before 1:30 p.m., a police officer attempted to stop a suspicious vehicle, but the suspect fled.
After a short pursuit, the suspect vehicle struck another car on 51st Street East and Nicollet Avenue South. The occupant of the other car, a female victim, was taken to the Hennepin County Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
The suspect was then arrested and police recovered the substantial amount of heroin.
The suspect will be booked into the Hennepin County Jail for probably cause fleeing and narcotics.
