Mpls Police Looking For Suspect In Stabbing
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Minneapolis Police are looking for a suspect after a 39-year-old woman reported being stabbed in her home back in early June, authorities said.
At about 1:30 p.m. on June 7, the victim left her home on the 300 block of East 18th Street for a short time. When she came home to lay down, she was woken up by a male burglar who was armed with a butcher knife, police said.
The suspect asked the victim if she was the only one home and then stabbed her in the arm. The woman fought the suspect and chased him from her home, police said.
Police describe the burglar as a 30-year-old black male, about 5 feet, 10 inches tall with a stockier build and a nearly-shaved head. He also has a possible small scar above his right lip. During the attack, he was wearing a white T-shirt and either shorts or pants.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Minneapolis Police or Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-8477. Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest.
