Mpls Man Sentenced To 38 Years In Prison For 2010 Murder
ST. PAUL (WCCO) -- A 27-year-old Minneapolis man has been sentenced to 38 years in prison for the Nov. 9, 2010 murder of a 28-year-old man, according to the Ramsey County Attorney's Office.
Nathan Nicholas Durick pled guilty in March to aiding and abetting intentional second-degree murder in the death of Joseph John Sanchez. Another man, 26-year-old Nicholas Theodore Anderson of St. Paul has also been charged with murder in the case and is awaiting trial.
According to the criminal complaints, Durick and Anderson were upset with Sanchez over a previous encounter, so they went to a house on the 1100 block on Payne Avenue. When they arrived, both armed, they saw Sanchez in the ally and fired at him.
Sanchez was found wounded and kneeling in the yard of the house. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
