Mpls. Man Charged With Stealing Hundreds Of Hydrocodone Pills

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) - A Minneapolis man was charged Tuesday with felony theft and felony possession of a controlled substance after he allegedly stole hundreds of Hydrocodone pills from the pharmacy where he worked.
According to the Dakota County Attorney's office, 32-year-old Jason Henderson was seen on surveillance video opening pill bottles and allegedly removing their contents on several occasions at a Burnsville pharmacy.
The pharmacy's manager noticed in April that their controlled substance inventory was missing 245 Hydrocodone tablets, and began to investigate.
While talking with authorities in October, Henderson claimed that a handful of pills, which he appeared to place in his pocket on video, were actually jelly beans.
After seeing a still frame of that video, Henderson claimed the man wasn't him, then quickly changed his story.
Henderson has been summoned to appear in court. He could face up to 15 years in prison or pay up to $30,000.
