92-Year-Old Woman Killed In Mpls Crash
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 92-year-old woman died after suffering injuries in a two-car collision Thursday morning in Minneapolis, authorities said.
The collision happened at the intersection of 27th Avenue and Lake Street.
The deceased and another woman were traveling west on Lake Street. They attempted to make a left turn onto 27th Avenue when they pulled out in front of a driver, who collided with their car, Minneapolis police said.
The woman suffered serious injuries in the collision. Crews brought her to the Hennepin County Medical Center, where she later died.
After the crash, authorities closed sections of both Lake Street and 27th Avenue. They have since been reopened to traffic.
No other injuries have been reported. The woman's name has not been released.
