Mounds View Ace Throws 95, Could Be Drafted High
MOUNDS VIEW, Minn. (WCCO )-- One Minnesota baseball player to keep an eye on during this week's draft is Mounds View senior Max Knutson.
He's already secured a scholarship to Nebraska, but could be tempted to turn pro with the right offer.
Max Knutson had not played football since he was a freshman, but he went out again his senior season and had an unbelievable season.
"It was an unbelievable experience to come out and play with all my friends under the lights," he said. "And go out with a bang my senior year."
He played hockey in the winter and this spring, the left handed thrower came in with a reputation for taking it to the next level.
"In my second start against Cretin, I touched 95 that game and it opened scouts' eyes," he said.
He'll be drafted, but the only question is how high will he go?
"You never really know where you're going to go on draft day," he said. "Anything can happen."
