Motorcyclist Killed In 3-Way Crash ID'd

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Officials have released the name of the motorcyclist who died Thursday morning in a crash on Interstate 35W in the south metro.

Fifty-five-year-old Gregory Cox, of Burnsville, died at 8:20 a.m. as a result of blunt force injuries, the Hennepin County Medical Examiner said.

He was traveling north on I-35W near Burnsville Parkway when he was sideswiped by an SUV and then struck by another, the State Patrol said.

The SUV drivers, identified as a 65-year-old Lonsdale man and a 29-year-old St. Louis Park man, were not injured.

The State Patrol is still investigating the crash.
