Motorcyclist Killed, 1 Injured In South Mpls. Crash
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A 33-year-old motorcyclist is dead after crashing into a vehicle in south Minneapolis early Thursday morning, according to Minneapolis officials.
Minneapolis Police spokeswoman Cyndi Barrington says it appears the male motorcyclist was heading westbound on 26th Street East at around 2:30 a.m. when he entered an intersection and struck the passenger side of a vehicle, which was traveling northbound on Bloomington Avenue.
The motorcyclist was taken to the Hennepin County Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
One of the passengers, identified as 34-year-old Ali Ali, was injured and required medical treatment. His condition is not known at this point.
Barrington said she believes the motorcyclist was wearing a helmet.
There have been no arrests. Minneapolis Police are investigating.
