Motorcyclist Alleges Hit & Run, Cops Skeptical
COTTAGE GROVE, Minn. (WCCO) - A Cottage Grove man is vowing to find the driver that he says hit him on his motorcycle.
Canh Chu told WCCO he was riding down 494 near South St. Paul early Friday morning when a car hit him from behind.
"I was in front of the car. His headlights is in the back of me, shining forward, and I can't see anything. But I know I was on top…on top of the hood," he said.
He eventually crawled to the shoulder. He was wearing a helmet, but he broke his leg in the accident.
His bike is in pretty bad shape, and he wants to find the driver.
"I will find you eventually. I will check on the 494 traffic cams, and I will catch you…Save yourself. Just come on in, because eventually I will get you," he said.
State troopers say they have no evidence of another car. A witness told them they didn't see another vehicle. But they also didn't see the bike go down.
Troopers are still investigating the accident.
