More Weekend Road Closures In Twin Cities
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Be aware if you're driving around the Twin Cities metro this weekend, you could be in for some headaches on the road.
The latest series of road closures will affect several areas around the metro.
Both directions of Interstate 35E will be closed between I-94 and Highway 36 from 4 a.m. Saturday until 4 a.m. Sunday so that the new bridge over Maryland Avenue can be put into place.
Highway 100 northbound will be closed from Highway 62 to Interstate 394 from 5 a.m. Saturday until 5 a.m. Monday for maintenance work in the area. Motorists are encouraged to use Highway 62, northbound Highway 169 and eastbound I-394.
Both directions of Highway 55/Hiawatha Avenue between East 26th and East 28th Street will be closed from 7 a.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday for repairs on the Martin Olav Sabo pedestrian bridge.
