Moorhead Police Seek Suspect In Convenience Store Robbery
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Police are seeking the public's help locating a person who robbed a Moorhead store early Monday morning.
According to the Moorhead Police Department, around 5:30 a.m. officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at Casey's General Store, located on the 1700 block of 30 Avenue South.
Police said a man entered the store, displayed a handgun and ordered an employee to give him cash from the register. The suspect then fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Officers set a perimeter and had Clay County Sheriff's K9 unit attempt to track the suspect, but they were unable to locate him.
Police said the suspect was described as being between 6'1" – 6'2" tall with a medium build. He was wearing sweatpants, a light colored hooded sweatshirt with nothing on the front and a mask. He is thought to be in his early 20s.
No employees were hurt during the robbery.
