Model Ts & Impalas: Blaze Destroys Dozens Of Antique Cars
HOLLANDALE, Minn. (WCCO) -- A warehouse fire in southeastern Minnesota didn't just destroy property, it destroyed memories.
Two warehouses went up in flames in Hollandale Monday afternoon, and one of them stored dozens of valuable antique cars.
There wasn't enough water in the village system to battle the fire, so fire crews had to truck in water from nearby communities just north of Albert Lea.
From Model Ts, to a 1966 Impala, Irene said her husband Paul Jones had been collecting cars for 40 years.
"I know that he's hurting, and it's all gone," she said. "I feel empty."
The Jones own both of the warehouses, but they rent out space in the middle, and they think that's where the fire started.
