MNfusion: Smashburger Introduces New 'Sin City' Burger
As the motto goes, "What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas."
But with their latest creation, Smashburger is making sure people who've never ventured to the city of sin get a taste of what it's like.
On Sept. 8, the chain of fast casual burger restaurants introduced their latest creation, the "Sin City" burger.
It starts the same as all their other dishes: a beef patty smashed for exactly 10 seconds. Then, it's topped with American cheese, crispy, haystack onions, Applewood smoked bacon, Smash sauce (which tastes a lot like honey mustard) and a fried egg. All stacked between an egg bun.
The burger is the perfect bite of savory, crispy, cheesy and tender. The beef has a perfect sear to it while still remaining juicy. The bacon and Smash sauce add a savoriness that is softened by the egg bun. And the yolk of the egg is the perfect flavor and texture compliment to the an otherwise crispy, salty dish.
As Jason DeRusha reported back in April, the chain creates burgers specific to the region its in. The Sin City burger was no different.
Originally intended for the Las Vegas market, the creators thought it was just too good not to share.
And they're asking others to share as well.
From now through Oct. 20, anyone who enjoys Smashburger's Sin City burger is asked to share their Las Vegas survival tips via social media with the hashtag #SinCitySurvivalTips.

The burger is available nationwide until Oct. 26. Then, like most everything else, it will be staying in Vegas.
